Copper Tube-Fin Heat Exchangers

Aavid, Thermal Division of Boyd Corporation Copper Tube-Fin Heat Exchangers are reliable, high-performance heat exchangers that are compatible with water, Ethylene Glycol/Water (EGW) solutions, and other common coolants. These Tube Fin heat exchangers, also called finned coil heat exchangers, consist of tubes that pass through a dense fin stack that is mechanically supported by a mounting frame. The fluid passes through the tube coils, conducts heat to the fins, and dissipates heat to air forced through the heat exchanger. The seamless copper tubes are expanded into the fin with an extruded full collar that ensures excellent metal-to-metal contact to optimize thermal performance. The thick-walled (0.7mm/0.028˝) seamless copper tubing and fluxless silver-brazed joints ensure the integrity of the fluid path. These heat exchangers from Aavid are pressure tested to 150psi (10.3 bar) to guarantee reliability.
