USB Type-C® 3.2 Gen 2 Standard Connectors

GCT USB Type-C® 3.2 Gen 2 Standard Connectors are robust, compact I/O interconnect systems with a reversible mating form factor. The connectors provide fast 20Gbit/s (USB 3.2) speeds, more than 10,000 mating cycles, power up to 5A, 24 contacts as standard, and profiles as low as 3.26mm. Top-mount connectors are soldered to the top side of the PCB. The devices can also be soldered to the bottom of the PCB to take advantage of the USB Type-C reversible interface. For mid-mount versions, a hole is routed in the PCB, and the connector drops onto the PCB top or bottom and is soldered in place. Mid-mount connectors are ideal for super low-profile applications. Vertical-mount plugs and receptacles are simply mounted at 90° on PCBs.

GCT USB Type-C® Connector Solutions are robust and improved I/O interconnect systems with new functionality and increased performance. The USB Type-C connectors feature a reversible mating form factor with up to 10Gbps transfer rates and a 5A maximum power rating. The connectors operate over 10,000 mating cycles for reliable performance and power delivery. The standard USB Type-C connector has 24 contacts, though other versions offer fewer contacts, like GCT ionex® Type-C with 16 contacts. The GCT USB Type-C Connectors meet USB3.2 specifications, which offer enhanced SuperSpeed+ data transfer modes of up to 20Gbps. The USB Type-C connectors are ideal for users searching for improved technological performance in electronic applications, including tablets, laptops, flash drives, phones, and mobile devices.
