Supercapacitors

KEMET Supercapacitors are designed for high-energy storage applications and consist of four basic form factors: molded, chip, can, and radial through-hole. These superconductors offer rapid charging/discharging within seconds, open failure mode to eliminate short circuits, easy installation with automatic mounting, and pick-and-place capability. KEMET Supercapacitors approach infinite charge/discharge cycles with very little deterioration of capacitance or cycle life and are maintenance-free. Typical applications include a real-time clock, energy harvesting, test equipment, and industrial control.

FS Supercapacitors

KEMET FS Supercapacitors feature operating voltages of 5.5VDC, 11VDC, and 12VDC and a wide temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. These supercapacitors are also known as electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs). The FS series is maintenance free, lead free, and RoHS compliant. KEMET FS Supercapacitors also provide high reliability against liquid leakage. Typical applications include low-voltage DC hold-up such as embedded microprocessor systems with flash memory.
