Air Capacitors

Johanson Manufacturing / Knowles Air Capacitors feature long rotational life and >106MΩ insulation resistance. These capacitors also feature a one-piece self-locking constant drive mechanism. The mechanism utilizes transverse slots to create a spring effect between two threaded sections resulting in substantial contact areas. These substantial contact areas ensure uniform torque, high Q, and low dynamic tuning noise. The air capacitors operate at -65°C to 125°C temperature range and are RoHS-compliant. These capacitors are used in filter tuning, crystal trimming, RF amplifiers, impedance matching, interstage coupling, and oscillators.
