Qxx25xHx Standard & Alternistor Triacs

Littelfuse Qxx25xHx Standard and Alternistor (High Commutation) Triacs are 25A bi-directional solid state switches designed for AC switching and phase control applications. These applications include motor speed and temperature modulation controls, lighting controls, and static switching relays. The Qxx25xHx triacs feature an internally constructed isolated package to allow easy heatsinking with high isolation voltages. Standard alternistor triacs operate with in-phase signals in Quadrants I or III and only unipolar negative gate pulses for Quadrants II or III. The alternistor triacs will not work in Quadrant IV. Alternistor Triacs (no snubber required) are ideal for applications with high inductive loads requiring high commutation performance.

Q Series Switching Thyristors

Littelfuse Q Series Switching Thyristors are bidirectional, solid-state protection devices designed to handle loads from 0.8A to 40ARMS with 10mA, 25mA, and 50mA IGT in operating Quadrants I, II, III, and IV. Littelfuse developed the Q Series Switching Thyristors for a wide range of AC applications to control AC power either through full-cycle switching or phase control of current to the load element. Q Series devices are rated to block voltage in the OFF condition from 200V minimum with selected products capable of 1000V operation. Internally-constructed, isolated packages are available for ease of heat sinking with highest isolation voltage.
