RL78/G16 Microcontrollers

Renesas Electronics RL78/G16 Microcontroller Units (MCUs) include a safety function, a general PWM timer, and an RL78-S2 CPU core up to 16MHz. The memory includes 16KB/32KB flash, 2KB SRAM, and 1KB data flash. These low-power MCUs operate in an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and come in an LQFP 0.8mm package. The compact size aids in equipment miniaturization while providing low power consumption and various built-in high-performance peripheral functions. The RL78/G16 series is also designed to improve power efficiency and reduce bill of materials (BOM) costs. Renesas Electronics RL78/G16 MCUs support a +125°C temperature for home appliances, lighting, DC fans, sensors, inverters, and more. A fast prototyping board (FPB) is also available.
