Texas Instruments SN74LV8T595/SN74LV8T595-Q1 8-Bit Shift Registers comprise an 8-bit, serial-in, parallel-out shift register that provides an 8-bit D-type storage register. The storage register supplies 3-state parallel outputs. Separate clocks are equipped for both the shift and storage register. The shift register has a direct overriding clear (SRCLR) input, serial (SER) input, and serial output (QH') for cascading. When the high output-enable (OE) input is used, the storage register outputs are in a high-impedance state. The operation of the OE input does not impact internal register data and serial output (QH').
