Adafruit ATECC608 Breakout Board is a crypto-authentication chip designed to lock away private keys securely. The private keys saved inside the board can only be retrieved by sending challenge-response queries to the board. The ATECC608 board utilizes I2C to send/receive commands and once the private keys are secure, the board can be used for ECDH and AES-128 encrypt/decrypt/signing. This board also offers hardware support for SHA-256/HMAC hash functions and random number generation to speed up the cryptography commands. The ATECC608's PCB breakout features the required support circuitry and SparkFun qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors. This board will operate with 3.3V or 5V power/logic micros.
