This material technology enables process control at the particle level, increasing the number of layers needed to realize higher capacity while reducing size. The thickness of each layer in the multilayer ceramic capacitor family is only 0.6μm at the slimmest point, and the number of layers reaches 1000 at maximum. These MLCCs are aimed at high-performance digital devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, TVs, power supplies, general digital circuits, DC/DC converters, AEC-Q200-compliant MLCCs, and automotive applications.

MAAS Automotive Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

TAIYO YUDEN MAAS Automotive Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are AEC-Q200 qualified capacitors with high reliability and RoHS/REACH compliance. These capacitors feature an external electrode and plating structure that contribute to the excellent soldering heat resistance. The MAAS MLCCs operate within a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. Typical applications include automotive powertrain and safety systems, general digital circuits, power supply bypassing capacitors, and smoothing capacitors.
