EiceDRIVER™ Gate Driver ICs

Infineon EiceDRIVER™ Gate Driver ICs are designed for MOSFETs, IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs, and GaN HEMTs devices. EiceDRIVER™ gate drivers provide a wide range of typical output current options, from 0.1A up to 10A. These devices have robust gate drive protection features such as fast short-circuit protection (DESAT), active Miller clamp, shoot-through protection, fault, shutdown, and over current protection. These features make these driver ICs well-suited for both silicon and wide-bandgap power devices, including CoolGaN™, and CoolSiC™. That’s why Infineon offers more than 500 EiceDRIVER™ gate driver IC solutions suitable for any power switch, and any application.

Automotive Motor Control Solutions

Infineon Technologies Automotive Motor Control Solutions are used for the environmental and application requirements of the automotive industry. The requirements have influenced the replacement of mechanical solutions with electrical motors. High priority factors, like CO2 reduction, have increased the need for smart electrically controlled motors. The number of electrical motors in cars is growing steadily for classical combustion engines and electrical cars. Instead of using energy from a combustion engine, these solutions can be switched and speed controlled on demand. 

TLE9210x Multi-MOSFET Drivers

Infineon Technologies TLE9210x Multi-MOSFET Drivers are designed to control up to eight half-bridges (up to 16 N-Channel MOSFETs) in one package. This series is ideal for applications that involve automotive DC motor and solenoid control, such as power seat modules, power closure systems, and more. Configuration of these drivers is enabled through a 24-bit serial parallel interface (SPI) to control the half-bridges. The SPI offers a wide range of diagnostic features, including monitoring the supply voltage, charge pump voltage, temperature warning, and overtemperature shutdown. Each gate driver monitors its external MOSFET drain-source voltage for hard-short circuit conditions. This is while the TLE9210x drivers are observing the current passing through the integrated op amps, providing configurable soft-short circuit detection.
